Step 1: Set a hard-to-guess password

When creating a password, you should include letters, numbers, special characters such as @, #... or you can add a semicolon at the end of the password.

You can test password strength with the website: https://password.kaspersky.com/

For example your password is: Ban#ssss2580.

Step 2: Update email, phone number

When creating Facebook, some people use email, some use phone. To update the email address and phone number, go to the settings section as follows:

Next go to general and select edit in contact section

If you already have an email, add a phone number and vice versa.

Remember to confirm your gmail with your phone number.

Step 3: Set up 2-layer security

Still in settings, click "security and login" then select edit in 2-factor authentication settings

Step 4: Turn on unrecognized login warning

In the “enhanced security” section of “security and login”, select edit in the “receive warnings about unrecognized logins” section.

Then you choose to enable notifications via Facebook, email, and text messages. The purpose is that when a stranger logs into your account, you will be notified so that you can handle it promptly.

Step 5: Choose 3 to 5 friends to contact when there is a problem with your account.

One day your account cannot be logged in. Your friends will help you get your facebook back. To enable this feature, select edit "choose 3 to 5 friends to contact if your account is locked"

Step 6: Hide phone number and email information

Why hide? Because hackers use your email and phone number to hack your account. To hide information, go to your personal page, select Introduction, Basic Information, and select "only me" to hide all phone numbers and emails.
